Donna Zegunis (Kail)

Deceased 2019

Donna Mae (Zegunis) Kail, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on October 2, 2019. She was born on March 19, 1946 to Ida May and Anthony Zegunis. Donna spent her days dedicated to the service of others. She practiced nursing for 41 years of her life, and knew nothing but unconditional love for those around her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand; she cared for everyone. Her education began with her graduation from East High School in 1964. She then graduated from Swedish American School of Nursing in 1967. Her love for education continued throughout her life, and passed onto her grandchildren, as she was always ready to take them to school if they missed the bus that day. In the year 1968 Donna married the love of her life, Donald Robert Kail Jr. and they shared nearly 55 years together in marriage. Beyond the loving wife and caretaker Donna was, she also enjoyed spending her time crocheting, playing cards with the girls, quality time with her grandchildren, and was also an avid golfer. She was even the president of her golfing league.

I knew Donna just a little in High School but became reacquainted with her in 2002 when my mom was having chemo treatments for cancer.  Donna worked in that Swedish American facility and was an amazing nurse.
