I was so surprised to see that Enid had passed away.  After many years of absence, we finally connected shortly before the time we both lost our husbands.  I enjoyed Enid on Facebook as she always told it as it was!  She was my childhood neighbor on South Chicago Street in Rockford before we even got to high school.  My sincere condolences to her family.

I was also so surprised by Enid's sudden death.  We went all thru Highland School together and then on to Lincoln and East High.  We met in 2nd grade and were friends for all these years.  When we were growing up it was Enid, Kathy Johnson and I that spent many summers at the Highland Branch Library and just hanging out at the Plaza after it was built.  I so enjoyed seeing Enid's posts on Facebook over the years.  She will be missed!

I also met Enid at Highland, although my family moved in 4th grade and I transferred to C. Henry Bloom where I  was a classmate of her cousin, Greg. We then attended Lincoln and East together. I connected with Enid on Facebook and she was very open and frank about everything from her mah Jong group to politics. You always knew exactly where she stood and she was a real kick in the pants. I will miss her unique voice, and hope that she and her beloved Andy are reunited now.

Enid was a brides maid at my wedding.  She and her family had many health issues but if u knew he well u were blessed. I am sorry her life was cut short. She was my third cousin but more importantly a good friend. May she rest in peace.
