SUSAN JAYNE REVELS, 68 WINNEBAGO - Susan Jayne (Kent) Revels, 68, of Winnebago, formerly of Byron, died March 27, 2015, peacefully in her home, after a two year battle with brain cancer. Born July 2, 1946, in Rockford to Arthur and Jeanette (Olson) Kent. She took great pride in being a homemaker and hairdresser for many years, and later helped start L & J Industrial Staples, Inc. with her former husband, Jack Revels, retiring in 2010. She was the grand matriarch of the family. She cared deeply for her children and grandchildren and was forever in their corner. She loved traveling, reading, doing crafts, and hitting the casinos (often winning). She was also a very proud Swede and has passed down many Swedish traditions for all of us to enjoy and pass down to the next generation. Her survivors include her fiancé, Clyde "Gene" Oslund; her former husband of 40 years, Luther "Jack" (Jodi) Revels; son, Jeffrey (Sharie) Revels of Polo; daughter, Lana (Burton) Baker of Davis; grandchildren, Mara (Jerry) McCarren, Cecil Revels, McKinzie Dilbeck, Macy Revels, Luke Revels, Teryn Revels, Ashley Baker and Tim Baker; five great-grandchildren; and her special spoiled dog, Maggie. Predeceased by her parents. Special thank you to Heartland Hospice for all their compassion, caring and support. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 2nd Ave., with Chaplain Pam Lejewski of Heartland Hospice officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the funeral home.
