JERRY L. FRANG, 69 ROCKFORD - Jerry L. Frang, 69, of Rockford died November 4, 2015, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 19, 1946, in Rockford, son of Emery and Ruby (Barnett) Frang. Graduate of East High School. He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Jerry obtained his Bachelor degree in Science from Northern Illinois University and his Master's degree in Secondary Education from Northern Illinois University. He was formerly employed at Kennedy School as a math teacher, retiring from Rock Valley College, where he was a math professor. He also worked as the night manager at Don Carter Lanes for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Optimist Club, and a Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Jerry is survived by his son, Corey Frang of Boston, MA; brothers, Larry Frang of Springfield IL, Ron Frang of Springfield IL, Bill (Vicki) Frang of Loveland CO; aunt, Joan Pennock of Rockford IL; and uncle, Ralph Frang of Golden, CO. Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Martha. A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd., Rockford, with memorial visitation from noon until the time of service. Interment in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vietnam Veteran Honor Society, PO Box 4304, Rockford, IL 61110. MARTHA N. FRANG, 67 ROCKFORD - Martha N. Frang, 67, of Rockford went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 24, 2015, in Rockford. Born September 8, 1948, in Evansville, IN, daughter off George and Jean (Mead) Zuroske. United in marriage to Jerry Frang on October 23, 1971. Retired from Rock Valley College. Martha was a lovely woman who was very involved in church activities at Heartland Community Church. Martha was an avid reader and loved dogs. She served as a table leader in the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at Heartland Community Church, reaching out to many people in need over the years to share the love of Christ with them. Survived by her husband of 44 years, Jerry of Rockford; son, Corey Frang of Boston, MA; sister, Nira Pullin of Detroit, MI; special friend, Marlis Young of Rockford; and was a wonderful friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents and beloved dog, Murdock. A Celebration of Martha's life will be at noon Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd., Rockford. Rev. Matt Kitchen will officiate. In honor of Martha, please wear something purple. Visitation at 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment in Arlington Memorial Park.
