PATRICIA L. 'PAT' DIGIOVANNI, 63 ROCKFORD - Patricia L. "Pat" DiGiovanni, 63, of Rockford died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 11, 1946, in Rockford, the daughter of Arthur and Faye (Quist) Sampson. Married Anthony "Tony" DiGiovanni on May 14, 1966, in Rockford. She was president of Integrated Home Care Services in Rockford for many years. She was a 1964 graduate of Rockford East High School. Pat loved life and her family, especially time with her precious grandchildren. She enjoyed the girls in her card clubs, the theater group and traveling with her family. Survived by husband, Tony; daughters, Michelle (Brian) Borkowicz of Geneva and Pamela (Tony) Jackson of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Briana and Maxwell Borkowicz and Taylor and Madison Jackson; mother, Faye Sampson of Rockford; sister, Sandy (Keith) Forberg of Roscoe; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father, Arthur. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108, with visitation from 2 p.m. to time of service; the Rev. Dr. R. Joe Marek will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to VNA Hospice, 4223 E. Catherine Peterson (Schocker)

Patty and I were friends from Lincoln Jr. High until her death.  She was such a remarkable, kind person.  Her family adored her.  So did I.  Cathy Peterson Schocker

Gene Moen

I knew Pat thru school but mayber not as well as I would have liked. Pat's Mother ,Faye, and My Mother, Rogene Moen, were great friends for years. I'm sure Pat will be missed my friends and family.  Gene Moen

I had not heard that Patty had passed away.  So sorry to hear that.  Pat and I were very close in jr. High.  I knew her husband and his family.   So sorry hear about Pat.
