SANDRA 'SANDY' DAWN NEBLOCK ROCKFORD - Sandra "Sandy" Dawn Neblock, born Sept. 30, 1946, left us Sunday, June 29, 2008. She de-parted after a short but courageous bat-tle with cancer, that weakened an al-ready fragile body. She was surrounded by the love of her family. She graduated from East High School in 1964 and attended Rockford Business College. She was employed by Rockford School District Transportation Department until congestive heart failure prevented her from doing the job she loved. Sandy loved life and the creatures that were part of it. She even had names for the squirrels and raccoons that frequented her doorstep looking for the food she would toss to them. Her hobbies included playing bingo, cooking for everyone and gardening. Sandy loved people. "Sandy, we will all miss you every day for the rest of our lives". Survivors include her dearest friend and roommate, Pam Moody; and Bunky, her beloved dog; sisters, Kathryn (Larry) Mowell, Lori (Stacey) Thompson; brothers, Richard (Sue) Neblock, William (Linda) Neblock; and many nieces, nephews, greatnieces and -nephews that she adored and they adored her in return. Predeceased by parents, Richard and Florence Neblock; brother, Ronald Neblock; nephew, Michael Mowell; cousin, Randy Wescott; and numerous beloved uncles and aunts. Service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service; the Rev. Dr. Ron C. Meyer will officiate. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the family.
