MILES W. HRATKO, 66 ROSCOE - Miles W. Hratko, 66, of Roscoe passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at his residence, with friends and family by his side. Miles was born Aug. 1, 1946, the son of William and Marie Miles Hratko. He married Lori Musselman on July 17, 2006. Miles was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded The Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. He was a retired ironworker and a member of VFW Post 2955 of Roscoe. Miles loved the outdoors, especially fishing in his boat; he loved to grill and was considered a gourmet cook. He was a lover of all animals, especially his dog, Rusty. His favorite outings were attending his grandson's baseball games. Miles is survived by wife, Lori; son, Miles; daughter, Beth (Oscar); sister, Kathleen; grandchildren, Oscar and Sullivan; god children, Tyler and Jake; two nieces; and many family and friends. Predeceased by his parents. Service to celebrate Miles life at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites conducted by VFW Post 2955 of Roscoe. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home.
