LORRAINE EDNA (ANDERSON) NELSON, 62 1946-2009 ROCKFORD - Lorraine Edna (Anderson) Nelson, 62, went to be with her heavenly father March 1, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She graduated from Rockford East High School in 1964. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 42 years, Stuart Nelson; her sons, Randal (Amber) and Paul (Christina); grandson, Christopher; brother, Marvin Anderson; sister, Lois Johnson; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren and Roger Anderson. To know Lorraine was to love her for her unfailing faith and kindness and to admire her for the strength and grace she demonstrated each day. She was an inspiration and a testimony of God's faithfulness to all who knew her. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, in First Evangelical Free Church. In lieu of flowers, Lorraine requested memorial contributions be made to the Children's Choirs at First Evangelical Free Church. Arrangements by National Cremation Society, Milton, Fla.
